Xercise 4: W8 Loss: This class will promote weight loss by incorporating different exercise modalities (strength, cardiovascular, and flexibility) into a program that can be done at any level. Learning how to work with individual body types and goals will allow participants to overcome obstacles that have prevented them from losing weight in the past. This class is suitable for everyone from the beginner to more advanced. This class will teach participants how to maximize results and minimize the time in the gym.
BODY PUMP™: BODYPUMP™ is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls.
BODY COMBAT™: BODYCOMBAT™ is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors, you strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.
Women and Weights: This class will teach women how to safely and efficiently incorporate weight exercises into a daily exercise routine in order strengthen and tone the muscles while maximizing a total body workout. During the class, simple weight based exercises will be demonstrated to show that when done correctly, they can emphasize range of motion, increase flexibility, and create a sleek and tone feminine physique.
Y Spin: An indoor cycling workout using motivational music and visualization with basic cycling movements. The instructor will be your guide, but you ultimately control your workout with your bike’s resistance and pedaling speed. All new participants must arrive early for bike set-up and orientation.
Pilates: This class is designed to work your “powerhouse muscles” – Abs, lower back, thighs and buttocks and to teach you proper alignment. It increases strength, flexibility and endurance and improves posture, alignment, coordination and balance, all without building bulky muscles. The emphasis is on “correct form.”
Zumba: The world’s largest Latin Dance based fitness program. The class combines Latin rhythms, dance, and fitness to provide a fun and complete workout.
****Zumba Gold: Zumba gold is done at a much lower intensity than regular Zumba. It's just as much fun just not as fast!
****Zumba Toning: A class that blends body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba moves into one calorie-burning, strength-training class.
Silver Sneakers®: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated/standing support.
Body Sculpting: This class includes an all around workout beginning with aerobics and moving to toning utilizing your own body weight, tubes, or held hand weights. This class is suitable for all levels of participants.
Yoga: This class combines posture, breathing, and focuses to promote strength, flexibility, stamina, balance, and relaxation to mind and body. You must bring your own mat.
****Chair Yoga: A yoga class with all the same benefits of yoga but with modifications to the senior or beginner participant.
Ballroom: A fun activity that counts as a workout! Come alone or bring a partner, either way you will be having a good time while increasing your cardiovascular fitness, toning muscles, and learning new footwork. |
